M.P.H. Concentration in Health Interpreting in Texas UNTHSC School of Public Health:

Forty percent of the Latino population in Tarrant County (Texas) are recent immigrants hailing from more than 20 countries. Of these, 78% are predominately Spanish speaking. Healthcare providers in Tarrant County are struggling to provide effective services to the growing Latino Spanish-speaking community. In response, the University of North Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health (UNTHSC SPH) is launching a new M.P.H. concentration to train and educate leaders in the field of health interpreting and health applied linguistics. Their Hablamos Juntos sponsored concentration is currently seeking highly qualified, bilingual students.
